BZC, and the Orbit Metaverse
The one year anniversary of the Billionaire Zombies Club last October will always be a day to remember. We celebrated it in a stone cathedral with stained glass everywhere. It kind of reminded me of something you would see in Stormwind. The cathedral was on a server built on the Interplanetary Filing System. It was a preview of what is yet to come for our future.
It was also a big celebration because the community managed to successfully raise tens of thousands of dollars to earn all the benefits the developers were offering.
Personally, I felt like I was on the ground floor of something you know is going to be really good, and not to many people have even caught on to it yet.
It's been 6 months since that day, and there has been a lot of development. Very soon, the zombies will be walking around as fully rigged 3d avatars, and have there own personal apartment that they will be able to customize.
This is a video of an apartment from another project that's going to be on there as well, and the graphics are first rate.
There is a lot more coming in stages down the road, such as our own lobby area. Where we will be able to socialize. Decorated up with lavish interiors, and dystopian exteriors. Fitting for a billionaire zombie in an apocalyptic world.
Finally, the final stage of the roadmap we're creating monetized 3d experiences, that will be compatible with consoles, mobiles, and VR.
To me this is probably the most intriguing thing about this development. Orbits will be operating on the Interplanetary Filing System, which means it could virtually go on forever, rent free, and decentralized.
No official release date as of yet, when I can post more details from developers I will. They run a tight ship, but I can say that they have conveyed confidence that something is pending in the immediate future.
During the lull of waiting for the developers, the zombie team have been promoting events in the Discord community, and on Twitter. They have been having game nights with BZC themed games made by a member of the community named Kedals. Also community members Skybound, and Srob, have been doing a lot of collaborations with other projects, and throwing white lists for minting other top shelf projects around like candy.
Wave 2
On April 20th, was the re-release of their 10,000 zombie pfp collection in restyled 4k graphics. One of the most notable changes in what was dubbed "Wave 2," was the removal of firearms from the pictures.
I asked for an official statement from the team leader of BZC, Johnny, to explain the reasoning behind that decision to remove firearms, and this is what he said.
"As we grow and evolve in the space and attention comes towards us we want to be welcoming to all people. Part of our Core Pillars is “Positive Impact”, as we continue to align ourselves among these organizations we want to be as brand friendly as possible. The world is an interesting place, and sometimes you have to make a decision to change something you love - for us, it was Art we had since 2021. As we turn a new page, we look forward to all there is to come and growing the brand of BZC." -J
I also inquired about Axman J, the original artist of the zombies if he had any reservations about the restyling of his original graphics, and was assured that he was fine with the new changes.
Also, a shout out to our wave 2 artist Bobby. He did an awesome recreating the zombie's art!
The DAO
A couple of months ago the Billionaire Zombie club's DAO Constitution was formally voted on, and ratified. Bass Buddha, spent almost a year writing it up, and Zombie Momma, did the painstaking legwork of Incorporating an LLC DAO in the state of Wyoming, for us.
If you own a Skeleton King you have a vote on the DAO, and if there ever is a day where there is liquidity to gain, you will be a recipient. So, it's good to be a king.
ZADDYS
The most recent project was the minting of a fractionalized NFT. It was a zombified version of Sandeep Nailwal, the cofounder Polygon, MATIC.
He Tweeted this to a quarter of a million followers.
Here's Zaddy!
